ABOUT BELASITSA MOUNTAIN
Belasitsa mountain rises up to the south of Kjustendil hollow and to the west of the picturesque valley of
Struma River. The Bulgarian border with Yugoslavia and Greece passes their watersheds ridges. Although Belasitsa’s peaks are not very high, here one can find all the beauty of the Bulgarian mountains. Belasitsa mountain is rich in ores and minerals as well as in water and mineral water. The tributaries of the
Struma River, which come from Osogovo are with continued spring high – water, because of the abundance of rains and the melting of the snow. At the northern foot of the Belasitsa mountain there are plant such as almond and fig.
