ABOUT THE HOUSE
The Hadjiilieva House is situated in the architectural reserve of Arbanassi. It was built in the second half of the XVIIth century and is a fine example of the National Revival architecture during that period. The ground floor of the house is made of stone. There are situated spacious cellars for food, a stable, hiding places for people and values.
An incredible entrance with wide staircase leads to the second floor, to 2 large rooms – summer and winter guest rooms. Between them there is a corridor. At both of its sides are situated bedrooms and a living room. At the end of the corridor there is a big kitchen with a fireplace and ovens for bread and other bakings.
The large guest rooms are very beautifully decorated. Their ceilings are covered with figures of kaolin, on and the walls there are frames with flowers. The doors, the shutters and the niches in the rooms are engraved.
