ABOUT HUT “VEJEN”
Mountain hut “Vejen” is situated in the beautiful Zlatitsa-Teteven Balkan, in the Tsarichina place, at the north foot of peak Vejen. The hut is built at 1650 meters above the sea level and represents a complex of two massive buildings and 12 wooden bungalows, each of which with two beds. The whole base has a capacity of total of 120 beds. Hut “Vejen” is supplied with water and electricity and uses its own hydroelectric station. Hut “Vejen” offers its guests:
- Tourist kitchen
- Tourist dining room
- TV-set
- WC/ bathroom
Hut “Vejen” is easily and quickly reachable through asphalted road from the village of Ribaritsa (5km), through cobble stone road (12km) or through well-marked mountain trails starting from: the village of Ribaritsa (following the Tsarichina hill) – 4.00 h, town of Koprivshtitsa (through the Vartopa place) – 6.30 h, Rozino railway station – 6.30 h, Klisura railway station – 6.45 h.
From hut “Vejen” the fans of the mountain tourism may leave for:
- Peak Vejen (2198 m) – 1.30 h
- Peak “Benkovski” (following the Sovatski valley) – 2.30 h
- Hut “Eho” – 3.00 h
- Hut “Kozia stena” – 5.00 h
- Hut “Planinski izvor” (following the Sovatski valley) – 5.00 h
