ABOUT THE TRIGRAD GORGE
The magnificent and impressing with its beauty gorge is situated in the valley of
Trigradska river, about 1.3 km south of the village of
Trigrad, along the road from
Devin to
Trigrad. The gorge spreads about 2 – 3 km along the river. The 250 meters high, sheer, marble rocks rise at the two sides of the river and form a narrow rocky bed.
The average altitude of the gorge is 1450 meters. The lowest part is the place of Bukov most (Beech-tree bridge) – 946.5 m. above the sea level, and the highest point is the peak of
Kulata (1543m. above the sea level).

This region is home of more than 150 caves. The most famous is the precipitous
Devil's Throat Cave. At the eastern part of the gorge is the
Haramiiska cave.
